Adore Beauty Nuxe Haul

I received 2 samples of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse on my May Violet Box (read the review here) and I got really curious with this product. It's a beauty cult product and no. 1 in France.  A lot of people call it the magic oil and I've read so many rave reviews about it. It's made from 95% natural ingredients that are derived from 6 precious plant oils.

I have tried it and I am yet to be convinced! I finally decided to buy a bottle to see if it will work wonders or at least show some improvement with my most hated stretch marks and if my skin will feel glorious with constant use. I did some research online and I'm happy that you have the option to buy a smaller bottle for $24.95 50ml than buying the big bottle right away for $39.95 100ml. And since, I'm not a big fan of the smell as it reminds me of my grandma's perfume, I was thrilled that you can get the Golden Shimmer version that can take my mind off the smell as it looks gorgeous on  your skin when I did a swatch test at Priceline.

So, I then checked which store or online store can give me the best deal and Adore Beauty was having a GWP (gift with purchase) promo back in May so I decided to order from them instead.  I don't know if it was my unlucky day but the promo code NUXEVIP wasn't working even though it's good till 31st of May. It was 31 May when I was trying to order but since it won't let me get the bonus gift I decided not to go through the purchase. I then got a system generated email asking me if there was any problem as I didn't go through the transaction. I emailed back and told them the problem and Melissa of Adore Beauty was nice enough to offer me to receive the bonus gift if I will still make the purchase. I couldn't resist a good deal plus I'm a sucker for freebies and samples so I did it.

So here's what I got

I bought the Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk for $24.95 and Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Golden Oil for $29.95. Since it's over $40 I got the bonus gift of make up pouch and a travel size Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk. You also get 2 free samples for every order and I got a sample of Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment and ASAP Anti Ageing Night Cream. I also got a Tim Tam much to my amusement! I'm not really a fan but the thought made me smile and well appreciated.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse $29.95

I bought this as I want to try for myself if this is really the magic oil that everyone is craving about. I said earlier that I'm not a fan of the smell but after using it a few times, I don't mind it anymore. I don't use it on my face as I have an oily face and it just makes it more oily and I don't want to smell it all day. I do love using it on my body as it gives it a shimmery glow and with my colouring I feel like a goddess! The only problem is that because it doesn't pour out, I have to dab it on my skin or hand a lot of times and it takes ages to cover the whole body! It does say you can use it for the face, body and hair so I tried it on my hair as well. I don't see my hair shimmering after use but it does help with the frizziness. I have naturally wavy hair and my somewhat curls where enhanced using this oil. My stretch marks are still there but I guess I'll have to wait a month or so to see if there will be an improvement at least. I'm crossing my fingers!

VERDICT: not yet convinced, great body oil, will recommend, fair price

Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk $24.95

I've read so many great reviews about this cleansing milk that I decided that it's finally time to try it! I wasn't disappointed! I love everything about it, from the packaging to the product itself. It comes in a pump bottle and I like that you can control how much it will pump out. I like that it has a soft smell and you can actually smell rose petals but it's not overpowering. I cleansed my face using cotton wipes and it does do its job properly. It's very gentle that it didn't sting my eyes at all when I used it remove my eyeshadow and eyeliner. My face was visibly lighter right after use and so soft to touch! It also says you can use it on your lips, so I did! I was surprised that it doesn't have any taste at all and left my lips feeling smooth and soft. I' m loving it so much that I'm considering it my beauty cult product and my best find at the moment.

VERDICT: highly recommended, great product, great value for money

Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment  $35 10ml

I was happy to try out this spot treatment as I always get pimples because of my crazy imbalanced hormones. It says to pat gently on the area and wait for 5 seconds before you blend it in. It has a dark tint but I found that it easily blends with my skin. It says it doesn't contain any artificial fragrance but it does have a slight  smell that makes you think of toners but it goes away quickly. I had a small pimple so I used it before going to bed and I noticed that it dried out the area the next day and the pimple disappeared after another use. I must say I'm quite impressed! You only have to use a little bit, more like a dot only so this sample will go a long way for me. I may consider buying the full size product for $35 but it's currently just $29.75 on Adore Beauty.

VERDICT: highly recommended, great product, may purchase

This is an anti ageing night cream that claims to remove and loosen dead skin cells to give you a younger, fresher face. I don't really have any visible lines yet so I decided not to use this sample. I'm just going to give it to my mom to try. The full size product retails for $65 50ml but it's currently just $50.70 on Adore Beauty.

This is the bonus gift I got and I like the pouch! I'll be putting it in my bag to stash my everyday makeup. The travel size Cleansing Milk will be used when I go somewhere overnight or for my next travel.

The Tim Tam that made me smile will be given to Mr SF! He likes choccies so he'll definitely appreciate this!

So, that's it for the day!

Have you bought something lately mainly because of the bonus gift?

What's  your beauty cult product at the moment?

I'd love to hear from you!

Keep on smiling!

xoxo Mia
